Fishing licenses for Colorado residents and non-residents are now on sale for the 2018 season, which begins April 1.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife says licenses can be purchased online, at your local CPW office or at any of our hundreds of authorized sales agents statewide.

The 2018 licenses are valid April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2019.

“Colorado provides outstanding fishing across the state with an amazing diversity of species ranging from cutthroat trout and kokanee to walleye and bluegill,” said Doug Krieger, CPW’s aquatic section manager, in a news release. “Fishing is a great activity to share with family and friends, and the perfect chance to get outside and enjoy Colorado’s natural resources.”

And if you plan on going fishing this year, check this CPW's app called CPW Fishing. You can search the area you want to go to fish to see what fish are there and what the stream gauges say. You can also journal your catches.

The app is free. Find out more about it here.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife stocks 90 million fish annually into waters throughout Colorado.
